We pause to pay tribute to the life and to celebrate the homegoing of Minister Allen "AJ" Johnson who was born in Darlington County, South Carolina on August 16, 1949. He was the oldest son of the late Johnnie Johnson, Jr. and Mary Alice Johnson. He attended Greensboro Public Schools where he graduated from Ragsdale High in 1967. Minister Johnson was a driver for England Trucking Company for 15 years. He was also employed as a driver for 5 years by Klaussner Furniture Company of Asheboro, NC until his departure. He was uunited in holy matrimony to Ida Harrison in 1997. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Johnson Davis. Survivors include his wife, Ida Johnson; daughter, Artonia Johnson; two sons, Victor Johnson(Buster) and Macharia Johnson (Scoot)all of Boston, MA; one brother, Terry Johnson (Karen)of Salt Lake City, UT; two sisters, Margaret Trueitt-Johnson of Randleman, NC and Brenda McDougald (Steve) of Charlotte, NC; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts,cousins in-laws and friends.
